MAVICA is 28-year-old singer–songwriter and producer hailing from Cartagena (Spain). Currently living in Madrid – where she resides after spending 6 years in London – she studied Performance and Production at the London College of Creative Media. There she recorded her first and second EPs, which helped her create her first circle of listeners in all the different platforms, and which took her to play festivals such as Mad Cool or Vida amongst others. Also, she supported international artists such as Alice Phoebe Lou, Roo Panes, Blanco White or Jonathan Wilson, and played at iconic venues such as Abbey Road or Village Underground as a session musician

Sometimes compared to Tash Sultana, Phoebe Bridgers, Ex:Re or Bon Iver, she has been recognized by the critic as one artist to keep an eye on. The first single of her debut EP, the melancholic and delicate Fire, has almost 5 million plays on Spotify and it was described by The Revue as simply stunning. Send me to the water is the title of her second EP, which took her sound and production a step further, including two new songs full of personal experiences.

MAVICA’s music can also be listened to at streaming platforms such as Netflix or RTVE (Spanish National TV) – in the movie Crazy About Her and on the TV series HIT – as well as in advertising campaigns by SEAT or Benetton amongst others. Also, she collaborated with Sofar Sounds and Ford Mustang for their latest commercial campaign in London.

Her first album, titled “Sometimes a Person Never Comes Back, (But That’s Okay)”, is getting ready to be released this year with new hints of pop and electronic.
MAVICA has attained to evolve her sound creating songs that flow perfectly with each other, delicately oscillating between sadness, lightness and nostalgia, sometimes encountering the three simultaneously. Either through her carefully arrangements or her unique voice timbre, MAVICA achieves to transmit full truthfulness and vulnerability that rarely gets found in pop music.

This first album represents the arrival of the young vocalist and producer in her own right as an emerging voice in the music scene, and who just took her music to the international music festival SXSW in Austin, TX, in Spring 2022, along with a North American and Mexican tour that she organized herself.
