Michiko Fujimura

Michiko Fujimura has been involved in the music industry for over 25 years. She started her career at EMI Music Japan and moved to Universal Music Japan at the timing of the acquisition of EMI by Universal.

She spent most of her time as a producer in the international music department on both labels. Since 2021, she has been engaged in various activities centered on the operation of Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM), the only music market in Japan focused on overseas expansion, at Japan Music Culture Export (JMCE), an organization that supports the overseas expansion of Japanese artists.

Japan Music Culture Export (JMCE)

 JMCE is a Japanese foundation created in 1993 to support the growth of Japanese music internationally and to promote international business relationships through music. The foundation is supported by the Japanese music industry and the main supporting members of the foundation are major Japanese record labels and music trade bodies & associations representing; artists, performers, record labels, management companies, music publishers, concert promoters and music retailers.

 Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM)

 TIMM is the largest Japanese international B-to-B music convention held annually since 2004. The event is supported by the Ministry of Economy, and is attended every year by music industry executives, artists and other professionals from around the globe.

TIMM is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
