WESTHAFEN ! That’s four Berlin guys who tried an experiment 5 years ago : Bringing back the old loved distorted guitar sound instead of the monotone bass boom of the dance floors. From friends to family, from academic goals to long nights in the studio. The songs transport urban melancholy and sing about ups and downs of being alive.
In a post-idealistic society, in youth culture diluted and the hedonistic spirit seems limitless, the songs are characterized by a search for meaning, longing and love. In addition to many shows in small and large Berliner Venues, the guys have already made it onto the festival stages of the Rocken am Brocken Festival (2022), the Southside Festival (2019), the BergFestival (2018) and the Scopophilia Festival Amsterdam (2019) to excite the audience. In 2020, Westhafen was supposed to play a European Tour with the booking agency ” Blue Bat”, but Covid19 did the rest. In the meanwhile, the four members concentrated on songwriting and in the end of 2020 they had their debut, recorded in summer 2021 with producer “Fabio Buemi“, released on the 22nd of October 2022.
