Berlin-based singer and producer LEONA BERLIN fascinates with her atmospheric Alternative R’n’B. Inspired by her roots in hip hop and soul, she crosses genre boundaries and creates her own sound universe, moving between emotional melodies and groovy dance tracks. Her lyrics always contain personal insights that have touched and inspired many people. “My top priority is to be authentic without having to fit in a box. I think that in today’s social media-dominated time, more depth and honesty are needed.”
She writes and produces her music herself. After the release of her debut album “Leona Berlin” with Warner Music in 2018, several singles followed, including “Wrong Lane” feat. Snoop Dogg. Other international artists she worked with include Casey Benjamin (Robert Glasper Experiment), Gregory Hutchinson and Karriem Riggins, among others. Leona’s most recent album “Change” has been added to the bestlist 1/2022 of the “German Record Critics’ Award” (PdSK).
